Recent Future – 2026 Immersion Remaster

Complete 4 CD set available on sale (original version) on Bandcamp

Recent Future … time, memory, reflection, transition, future dreamings and the magic of the places found at the in-between are wonders of this constantly-morphing seamless flow release. Originally disc 3 of 2003’s Mystic Chords and Sacred Spaces, this 2026 remaster presents the original thirteen crossfaded tracks in a 74-minute long-form ultra-engaging liminal experience.

Excited to announce this special edition release of what I have always considered my ultimate crossfade album. All the pieces that make up the whole were composed - created in the succession, one growing out of the next as it morphs through each movement.

Stephen Hill, Hearts of Space radio: "...the high frontier between deep listening music and the spirituality of pure sound."

Steve Davis, Neptune Currents, KKUP-FM: "Steve Roach has created an ambient masterpiece: a varied collection of totally absorbing, immersive soundworlds, clearly a milestone in electronic music."

John Diliberto, Echoes: "Mystic Chords & Sacred Spaces floats in a space of richly detailed but minutely shifting sound constructs... Roach is creating a free fall through space... ecstatic in its evocations of something beyond... an Aurora Borealis of sound."
