Immersion One

IMMERSION: ONE has been playing in my work space every day for over a week now. This is probably the most sublime, heavenly, and mesmerizing ambient track I have heard from anyone, ever. For me, it definitely fits all the criteria Brian Eno defined originally for ambient music. I find myself mentally and emotionally phasing in and out of this track throughout the day. Sometimes both (emotions and mentations) plunge into the track simultaneously, sometimes both are distant from the track, and at other times, one will be in the track while the other is out. There have been occassions when I feel projected out my window and merged with the stand of trees outside. This is some subtle but powerful magic Steve has weaved.

Bravo.

I'd say I can't wait to hear the next installment of the "immersion" series, but I'm still savoring this first one and am quite satisfied and happy with it. It is like a new sonic friend that keeps me company throughout the day.

P.S.: The CD/jacket art is very congruent with and appropriate for this track.
