| Well of Souls Steve Roach, Vidna Obmana 1995 Projekt PRO60 (CD, Poster) Reviewed by John Pemble, Detroit Metro Times, i/e, Muze, The Tracking AngleSteve Roach and Belgium-based Vidna Obmana in their first fully-realized duo project. A dark and inviting descent through textures that swirl and drift like liquid smoke while ethno-electronic grooves throb with primal urges. This double CD presents a "day" and "night" disc, starting with the rhythmic, then moving to pure atmospheric drifts. "This is an unequalled achievement and nothing in ambient or space-music can be compared... organic, graceful, it approaches the realm of the sacred." -- (Detroit Metro Times)

| Kiva Steve Roach, Michael Stearns, Ron Sunsinger 1995 Hearts of Space HS11056 (CD) Reviewed by i/e, Inner-Views, MuzeTrue shamanic music: Actual peyote and ayahuasca ceremonies provide the foundation for this collaboration with Ron Sunsinger and Michael Stearns. Not for the weak at heart. The four directions provide a symbolic symmetry to this extraordinary recording. The artists also combine recordings they made together within a labyrinth of caves in New Mexico, adding yet another ingredient to the broth.

| The Lost Pieces Steve Roach 1995 Projekt R13 (CD) Reviewed by MuzeA great collection of "lost" pieces that came shortly after the completion of a project, or from multi-artist samplers between 1988 and 1992. Steve's various styles from that time are presented here in a way that flows effortlessly from one space to the next. Another good introduction to Steve's music.
